I qualified from Cardiff University in 1994 and gained a postgraduate qualification in general dental practice in 2002 (MFGDP) and a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry at Birmingham University in 2019.
I enjoy meeting and putting my patients at ease so I can understand their dental problems. It is important that I ensure they understand their options so they can make the right decisions about their dental treatment. I hope to be able to relax and reassure nervous patients.
I have successfully completed post-graduate training programs in aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry. I am eager to stay current with the advances in all aspects of dentistry being a regular attendee at conferences, study groups and lectures. I am a certified Inman Aligner provider.
My main interests are based on preventive and minimally invasive dentistry and providing modern restorative dentistry including implants.
I enjoy working together with our hygienists to aid improvements in our patients' oral and general health.

I qualified from the University of Manchester in 2005 and joined Wall Heath Dental Practice in 2007. In 2015 I completed a part-time Master's Degree in Advanced General Dental Practice at Birmingham University and was awarded distinction. I really enjoyed studying for this postgraduate degree which was taught by some leading experts in their specialised fields. It entailed 12 modules on all aspects of general dental practice, and the design and implementation of a research project where I collected and analysed data about the treatment of cracked teeth.
I stay abreast of current research and utilise new techniques to the benefit of my patients. I am a certified provider of the Inman Aligner orthodontic appliance.
I am committed to helping my patients achieve and maintain good oral health, including a happy confident smile. I find many of the new patients who come to see us are anxious about dental treatment and often have put off going to the dentist for many years, putting up with pain from their teeth and avoiding smiling. It is an important part of my job to be able to help these people accept dental care and overcome pain and anxiety. By accessing regular dental care and trying to preserve as much tooth structure as possible we will inevitably be able to help our patients keep their teeth for longer.

I joined Wall Heath Dental Practice in February 2010.
I qualified in 1988 from Birmingham Dental Hospital and have gained over 20 years experience as a Dental Hygienist.
I enjoy being part of a team and the interaction with people that this brings.
Patients are referred to me by their dentist for gum treatments that may be required, but I see the most important part of my role as working on an individual basis with our patients to inform, educate and motivate them towards achieving good oral health.

I joined Wall Heath Dental Practice in November 2011 as a Dental Hygienist. However, I am no stranger to the area as I worked for many years at a dental practice in Wombourne.
After qualifying as a Dental Hygienist in 1989, I worked in both NHS and Private practice with only a couple of short breaks to bring up my children.
My main clinical interests centre on the prevention and treatment of periodontal (gum) diseases. By explaining the disease process I hope to encourage our patients to reduce inflammation in their mouths by involving them in the care of their teeth and gums. This concentrated home oral hygiene regime keeps treatments here at the practice as minimal as possible. The approach is centred on the patient taking ownership of, and managing their gum condition for themselves.
In the same manner I am keen to prevent our patients requiring fillings by explaining the causes of dental decay and helping them alter their diet and care for their teeth appropriately.

I joined Wall Heath Dental practice in October 2020. Before qualifying as a dental therapist, I worked as a dental nurse for 7 years and during this time joined the Armed Forces. I then decided to further my career and completed my BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Portsmouth University where I graduated in 2010.
I hope to reassure anxious patients and put them at ease, and I enjoy making patients feel more confident to smile. My aim when treating patients is to educate them on ways to improve their oral health and to prevent and treat gum disease.
